The size or shape of a room will often suggest the choice of colour or pattern of mosaic you choose. Lighter colours and smaller patterns help create the illusion of space but darker and bolder ones can also be used to dramatic and pleasing effect.

These classic mosaics draw their inspiration from patterns that first saw the light of day in the antique Roman and Moorish worlds.
