Glassworks – metallics and metallic effect glass tiles

You may have seen us announce the launch of a host of new glass products just before Christmas, but we thought we'd take a closer look at what's new. Whilst we have added a wide selection of different colours, shapes and finishes, it's the new metallic products that have had the biggest response from our network of retailers and homeowners alike.
If you caught last week's post about 2015's interior design trends, you'll see that we flagged metallics as remaining a key trend this year. We have updated the look with our new glass products, by introducing interesting decorative effects, such as etched lace in Honfleur (above) and new shapes such as hexagons (as in Solinda). Hexagons have proved to be the shape of the moment, particularly in tiles, and can add an interesting dimension wherever they are used. Our glass hexagon mosaics offer simpler installation as they are supplied on a sheet and can be fixed in the same way as other mosaic tiles.
Copper Leaf (shown right) is a nod to what is perhaps the most obvious trend. Copper hues can be spotted throughout the high street in gorgeous home accessories, from picture frames to side tables and small votives. You can have fun with this look and use these large format tiles to create a splashback to add instant warmth to any space, or create a feature and install them floor to ceiling.
One of the great things about glass tiles is that most can be used in the most challenging environments, such as showers, wetrooms or bathrooms. Many tiles need special care to cope with steam, splashes and damp environments but glass simply requires wiping down. If you're hoping to add a touch of luxury to your home, take a look at our new metallic glass tiles. As practical as they are beautiful, they could add the designer edge that you're looking for.
