Using patterned tiles can transform any area of the home. Whether you decide to cover an expanse of space or just update a splashback in your kitchen or bathroom, patterned tiles are great for adding a bit of life to drab interiors! Decorative options are available in all sorts of sizes and formats so there is bound to be something to suit your décor. If you need a little more guidance, here’s a few tips on how to incorporate patterned tiles into your home.

Kitchens

Choosing durable flooring for your kitchen is a wise choice and investment. High traffic and daily mess and spills calls for a hard wearing and easy to clean floor, but this doesn’t mean you need to compromise on style. Our range of Odyssey and Victorian Floor Tiles are wonderfully patterned and hard wearing and they brighten up any kitchen!  Pattern tiles also make for brilliant splashbacks and are a great place to start if you only want to incorporate a little bit of pattern into your décor.

Bathrooms

Bathrooms are great spaces to go bold as we tend to spend less time in them compared to other rooms in the house.  Co-ordinating patterned wall and floor tiles needn’t be overwhelming though, take a look at Persian from the Odyssey collection as pictured below, simple trellis detailing in pastel shades help create a practical yet tranquil bathroom. If you want to create a contemporary feel try incorporating Carvalo Décor with plain wood effect tiles.

Hallways

Naturally we adore Victorian Floor Tiles for the hallway, not only are they wonderfully durable but there is endless choice with a huge array of patterns and designs available to suit your taste. A simple black and white pattern is a timeless choice but greys, creams and blues also make for a beautiful hallway.  Make a show stopping statement by choosing one of our more traditional patterns like Blenheim as pictured below, warm and welcoming in deep reds and buffs – or any colourway you prefer!
