Here are some tips and pointers to help you with your choice of bathroom tiles
The bathroom - one of the most frequently used and essential rooms in the house! So it's got to be right for so many reasons, not least how it looks and performs. Our latest Style File discusses the practicalities, so once you've settled these, here are some tips and pointers to help you with your choice of tiling.
So much choice! You can't go wrong with a palette of whites and creams. Choose ceramic tiles from Artworks and Winchester for a classic style or larger formats in pale shades from Tileworks and Glassworks. These will provide a contemporary feel. Branch out into colours and decorative effects from these ranges and also Odyssey, Mosaics and Winchester Tiles, which can look stunning either as accents or full on features, say behind a free standing bath or in a shower area. Too much of anything can overpower though!
Odyssey and Victorian Floor Tiles feel soft underfoot, and will feel even better with underfloor heating. Stone and porcelain mosaics in basketweaves and other patterns have been designed specifically for floors and can complete your design. Make sure you check the suitability of your floor tiles - and for wet rooms, choose those with low slip potential such as the Tileworks Mineral range with a structured finish.
