Floor tiles for every room in your house – and outside spaces too

Floor tiles are mostly associated with bathrooms and kitchens, but there are no reasons why you can’t have floor tiles in every room of your house. In fact there are lots of reasons why tiles are a great choice – read on!
Living areas and dining rooms
Tiles don’t even have to look like tiling – you can have Tileworks wood effect planking that’s hard to tell apart from the real thing. So you get the benefits of tiles with none of the downfalls of wooden flooring – longevity, low maintenance, good looks that last, you can use them with underfloor heating. And to be bang on trend this autumn, throw on a colourful rug or two of top of your tiles in your living room.
See living rooms above. In addition, tiles in bedrooms are great for people with allergies, which can be triggered by dust-harbouring carpets. Tiles are so easy to keep clean and dust free.
Hallways, boot rooms, porches, conservatories
Carpets seem just too high maintenance for halls and other areas where outside meets inside. Surfaces need to be tough to cope with wet or muddy shoes and boots, pets, bags, pushchairs and everything else. Victorian and Odyssey floor tiles, Earthworks natural stone and Tileworks porcelain tiles are all candidates, depending on the style of your house.
If you want a seamless flow from inside to outside – for instance, on either side of doors leading to a patio or terrace, you’ll need tiles that are frost-resistant. Try Tileworks tiles marked ‘outdoor suitable’ in the brochure, while Victorian and Odyssey floor tiles are also suitable for the great outdoors for paths, patios and terraces.
