Living – it’s time to start! Here’s a new approach to tiling – eight capsule collections of large format tiles designed for different lifestyles and tastes.   All the designs have been created, produced and delivered by our in-house teams and they completely embody our unique style. The tile patterns are printed on-site in our dedicated printing unit in Exeter, here in the heart of Devon. To complement the range each collection has a plain coordinating tile to go alongside each pattern.Over the next two weeks we will be revealing the entire range here on the blog and on our inspiration pages, starting with Palazzo. This collection is a mix of timeless and glamorous designs that look as if they have been inlaid on classical Carrara marble, perfect for adding a touch of luxury to kitchens and bathrooms. For something completely different yet totally on trend we’ve designed Eden, lush and leafy designs in subtle tones of green and grey. Choose from three patterns, ‘Glade’ - a delicate bouquet of ferns, ‘Pergola’ (which has tailing fronds and gentle details), and ‘Hothouse’ - a riot of palm leaves!   Maison is inspired by French interiors and comes in three pattern sizes. Think effortless elegance, understated patterns and subtle flourishes. These muted French blue designs are printed on a softly textured off white base tile with a linen style texture. We’re so excited to announce the launch of the Mezzo collection, our latest range of patterned floor tiles that also look fabulous on walls as well! This new collection has been added to the Odyssey Collection, our popular range of eclectic designs that have been inspired by arts and cultures from around the globe.   Mezzo’s new nine exclusive patterns have been designed in-house, taking inspiration from everything from traditional tiles and rugs to ancient art. But these designs are anything but old fashioned – they have a modern feel with an urban edge… As well as being designed here they are also printed in our Exeter factory, in the heart of Devon. The cement-effect surface has a slightly aged, worn look. The subtle colour palette of duck egg blue and grey on the warm beige base is limited so the nine designs can be combined into an elegant mélange as well as working beautifully as individual layouts.     Read more...

We’re always on the lookout for new and exciting trends, especially for our most contemporary range, Tileworks. To keep things fresh and offer a dynamic choice, we’ve added a handpicked selection of new products to the range, from gorgeous grey wood effect tiles to decorated tiles perfect for creating striking feature walls. Keep on reading to find out more about the new products or just be inspired by our new photography!   Bricking it There’s no denying the beauty of these new Montblanc brick tiles, a brilliant choice for kitchens and bathrooms, especially for those lusting after some luxe. Brick tiles are getting a lot of limelight lately, with homeowners opting for contemporary layouts like stack bond and herringbone to liven up dull spaces. Mix together all four colours, Blue, Pearl, White and Anthracite for a gorgeous feature wall or just use one shade alone, either way these tiles will add some luxury. These additions complement the existing Montblanc collection, try teaming together with one of the large format tiles. We love how all of the sizes and colours work together.   Wonderful Wood Effect We’ve also complemented our Wood-effect collections with Oakwood and Krea. Oakwood comes in four realistic wood toned shades, shown below is Oakwood Nut, a gorgeous neutral blend suitable for all living spaces. Krea comes in three shades and two versions, with one suitable for inside and outside use, as well as wet areas. We’ve used it in a bathroom setting below and love the earthy grey undertones, teamed with contemporary fittings and fixtures for a cool contrast.   Krea also looks great in other areas of the home and is ideal as a neutral base for floors in living areas.   Industrial Style In concrete-effect, there’s Pescara, a matt large format tile which is available in a smooth or textured finish. The great thing about this range is how the two finishes work together. Try brick bonding to add some interest or keep it contemporary with a stack bond style. For something with a little more atmosphere we’ve added Shadow, which comes in 4 shades of grey. Choose from a 600 x 300mm format or a 600 x 600mm, or use both!    There’s something about marble… To complement our ever popular marble-effect collection we’ve added a striking black colourway, Nero Marquina. Our updated Mosaics collection has made us so excited here at Original Style! We’ve refined the range by removing some of the less popular products and added in 83 new and exciting products in a number of formats and materials. We believe this collection has something for everyone, from muted subtle hues to bold and daring statement shades, here’s the full scoop on our new collection…   Wall Mosaics Mosaics can be used to cover an expanse of wall or in many cases as strip borders and accents when teamed with other tiles. In the ever popular natural shell collection we’ve added a few more beautiful shell mosaics, including ‘White Pearl Herringbone’ (as shown below). Its angular format teamed with its dreamy iridescent white colour is the perfect pairing, bringing harmony into any kitchen or bathroom. This shade also comes in a hexagon and a lozenge format, the choice is yours!  If it’s iridescence you’re after, bring in the texture with Ice, which has a raised rectangular surface and comes two further shades Beryl a bluey green and Zircon a darker grey shade. These mosaics are perfect for adding some depth and a little bit of interest, especially when using neutral tones.   Moving into bronze and copper shades, we have some gorgeous new offerings such as Aurelio, ideal for those seeking the copper trend. For a more unique format take a look at Orabella, a penny round copper mosaic and Ottone, a linear style. Floor Mosaics We’ve also added in some practical yet on trend floor mosaics (that can also be used on walls). In stone, look at the Nares running brick and brick bond, perfect for neutral interiors and wonderfully durable. For a warmer feel try the Perla Large Hexagon as featured below which would work in kitchens or bathrooms. For something bolder and a full on colour splash, Ibiza is for you, use on walls, floors and even wet floors. It’s the ultimate all-purpose mosaic with attitude! We’ve had plenty of exciting new additions and product launches this year, but this month we are celebrating the relaunch of one of our most loved ranges, the Artworks collection. Artworks is one of our most cherished collections, classic and decorated field tiles and mouldings which have been created here in our factory in Devon since 1986!   Since then, Artworks has been one of our most popular ranges and we have taken the opportunity to breathe some new life into it. Quality, tradition and authenticity are still core values, but to keep it current we have updated the range by adding three new colours, Chancel Grey, Vintage White and Westminster Grey. These new shades have a contemporary feel and look beautiful in both kitchens and bathroom settings as shown below. We have also introduced a new size, the large brick format which is perfect for creating a contemporary feel. Choose from nine colours including Jet Black. The glossy glazes provide a luxurious and timeless appeal for years to come. For a traditional feel try a large brick in one of the more classic shades like Victorian Green, Burgundy or Colonial White, or opt for a smaller sized half tile teamed with a moulding to add some character. Alongside the new additions we are still offering a wide choice of the existing collection including field tiles and decorated tiles. The authentic designs and patterns of the decorative tiles and borders have been inspired by many artistic styles, from ancient Greek architecture, famous painted works of art and movements such as Art Deco, Art Nouveau and Arts & Craft, so there is plenty to choose from!
