Glass is beautiful: translucent and colourful, it is also an extremely versatile material when made into tiles. It is practical as it’s easy to clean and maintain. If you go for one of the larger formats transforming a room will take no time. There are so many styles, formats and colours you will be spoilt for choice. Here are a few pointers to help you choose:

Bathrooms and kitchens are the obvious place for glass tiles, but why stop there? Create a seamless look by linking kitchen, behind a breakfast bar and dining area walls with the same colour. You could also consider a living room wall or walls, and large format glass in a shower is a great idea too.

Effects and colour options

Clear glass in over 40 colours from Arctic White to the inky black of Indus, and many gorgeous colours in between, and 25 frosted colours too.

There are subtle metallics and not so subtle sparkly effects and many decorative styles for something a little different.

Strips and borders are great for adding accent colours.

The Glassworks and Splashbacks brochures include inspiring images as well as details of all you need to know about the collection. When it comes to their installation, the Fixing Guide provides information on adhesives, grouts and cutting. Glass tiles can be cut with care, with the exception of Splashbacks, which are made from toughened glass and so should not be cut.

We recommend that you seek out your local dealer and go and see the range of Glassworks for yourself. Nothing beats looking and touching the products to help you visualise them in your own home. Your dealer will be able to advise you on formats, sizes and the numbers you’ll need for your project. Maybe you’ll see a coordinating floor tile to match your choice for the walls from our other ranges: contemporary Tileworks, classic natural stone from Earthworks, Odyssey’s eclectic collection of styles and the traditionalVictorian Floor Tiles.
